You might be curious as to why we chose to build this site.
To give you a bit of background...the two of us met on the Johnny Depp Zone several years ago, back in 2003, when Pirates of the Caribbean first hit the summer movie screens. Almost immediately, it was obvious that we shared the same sense of humour and we quickly became fast friends. Despite the fact that we live in different countries, half a continent away from each other, we have remained close and keep in touch regularly. We've also had the good fortune to meet several times and share a great many laughs over our obsession.
We both agree that laughter is such an important component in making our lives easier. It is the alleviator of pain, the eraser of anxiety, the eradicator of stress. As we’ve progressed through the years, we’ve met others who share this ability to perceive and appreciate what is amusing and comical about our daily lives and they’ve become an integral and cherished part of our circle of friends.
We have the utmost respect and admiration for the actor, Johnny Depp. Make no mistake, as you peruse these pages. This is not intended to ridicule or make fun of his work, life, ideals, or family.
Rather, this site is intended to poke fun at ourselves….our emotions, our nature, our obsessions.
You will not find any photo galleries on this site. A true JDOCD'er has already seen every picture ever taken of Johnny, often before they even hit the regular entertainment news sources. In fact, you probably wouldn't even have an inclination to visit this site, unless your hard drive and numerous CD's are filled with every picture, known to mankind, of 'our guy'.
Nor, for that matter, are there any forums or chat rooms, 'spoilers' or gossip among these pages. The Johnny Depp Zone (see address on our Links page) has the best forums on the net, so we highly suggest you head over there if you have an urge to visit with other victims.
Our purpose for this site is to provide laughter. So sit back and enjoy.
